Type device=c:\windows\himem.sys

Type device=c:\windows\ifshlp.sys

Press <F6> key and then <Enter>key

Type path=c:\windows;c:\windows\command

Type win

Press <F6> key and then <Enter> key

ReBoot the PC

Automatic Logon without Name or Password (Windows 9x)
This setting allows Windows clients to logon
without entering a user name or password,
therefore bypassing the logon box.

• Open your registry and find the key below.
• Create a new string value called “Default Password” and set it to match
  the password of the default user.
• Restart Windows and the system should automatically logon.

Hint: The username of the default user can be found
at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon\Username]
Note: The password is stored in clear text, therefore anyone
with access to the registry can see the default password.

Settings:
Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
Value Name: Default Password
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)

No Disconnect Prompt When Quitting Internet Explorer - Windows 98
This behavior can occur if the EnableAutodisconnect value in the registry
is set to a data value of 00 00 00 00.
To resolve this issue, modify the data value of the EnableAutodisconnect value
in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Change the data value to 01 00 00 00
After you make this change and quit Registry Editor, restart your computer.

Force Windows to Unload DLL’s from Memory (Windows 9x and NT)
Windows Explorer will usually try and cache DLL’s by keeping them in memory even after
the application using them has been closed.
This can cause performance problems on low memory systems,
and can be annoying when developing on Windows and the DLLs remain in use.

Open your registry and find the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]

Create a new sub-key named `AlwaysUnloadDll’
and set the default value to equal ‘1’ to disable Windows holding the DLL in memory.

Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
